Transformation

As you may remember, we have been growing butterflies and today we got the incredible opportunity to watch as one came out of its chrysalis. It was amazing to watch the wings begin to appear through the transparent chrysalis, to the legs pushing their way out and a beautiful butterfly emerge. The whole process is just another example of the incredible work of God and the kids and I have been in awe.

Transformation. Witnessing it first hand this week has reminded me how incredible a process it is. We couldn't see inside the chrysalis for so long and yet, change was happening without it being visible to the eye.

So often as we work on changing things, we feel like no progress is being made because the changes are so subtle. We get discouraged, lose faith in the process, and doubt that we'll ever get to where it is we're aiming for. But God reminds us through the incredible journey of a caterpillar to a butterfly that change is ever evolving and if we're patient, we'll see it happen.

Today I challenge you to reflect on something you've been working on, something you've been transforming in your life and I DARE you to recognize the progress you've made. You'll probably say that there isn't any at first glance but I know that isn't true!! Change IS taking place at this very moment and before long, you'll find your wings and fly - just like our butterflies!!
