Training wheels

One of the things I love to do is go bike riding! Fortunately, my kids are learning to love it too and it's been a great way to get outdoors and feel the breeze in our faces during this time.
Yesterday my sweet 5 year old decided she wanted to try and ride her bike without training wheels. Being the determined kid that she is, she got on the bike and pedaled away and before we knew it, she was riding by herself! It was amazing and her excitement was contagious!!
If only it was that simple in life when faced with challenges! As kids, we seem to have no fears and yet as an adult, we get in our own way and let fear do the talking. Sure, we can make use of 'training wheels' for a while, but there comes a point where we have to take a leap of faith and go for it. I know, easier said than done!!
So today I challenge you to think of something you've been avoiding doing, a risk that you know you want to take but have let fear get in the way, and I DARE you to jump off that cliff and go for it!! You never know how freeing it will be to take that risk and fly - you've got this!!
As for me, headed out for another bike ride .... and to help my daughter learn how to stop without having to crash onto the grass!!
