The majestic glory of a storm

Have you ever sat and watched a thunderstorm in all its glory? It's amazing to watch the dark clouds roll in, listen to it roar, and watch the sky light up with forks of lightening. There's nothing quite like it and sitting on my porch that's been home the past few days was the perfect spot to enjoy it.
This weekend has been filled with storms and while in some ways it can put a damper on things, there is a great reminder of the glory of God at work and for life. One particular storm took place while we driving and there was one circle of light surrounded by darkness. What an incredible reminder of how, even in the darkest of times, God provides light if we look for it.
Life can be filled with storms too and it can be hard to hold on during those times, not sure when the light will reveal itself. But God knows and when the timing is right, the light fills our world again and we realize we have navigated through the challenge we faced.
So today I challenge you to seek out the light. If you're feeling in a dark place, I DARE you to light a candle to remind yourself that hope is there. And if you're blessed to be free from that storm, write about it and reflect on how the Big Guy helped bring you through it.
As the raindrops pitter patter, the sky begins to lighten, I'm kind of sad that the storm is rolling through and yet, love the symbolic reminder that even though COVID has brought darker times, there is light just around the corner.
