Rain rain, go away!

I love rainy days - well, at least if I can curl up under the covers, tucked up watching a movie! However, as the mom of 2 young kids, rainy days result in a house of stir-crazy kids with lots of energy to get out! Add into that the COVD19 'fun' and well, let's just say I'm not rain's biggest fan these days!
“He provides rain for the earth; he sends water on the countryside." Job 5:10
Yet as I look outside my door, I realize that God ensured that the beautiful earth He created gets exactly what it needs - the same being true for us. Sometimes our lives are filled with sunshine, others with what feels like crazy storms, as well as everything in between. He does not ask that we do the journey alone though and as we watch the flowers and plants eagerly take in the water they thirst, we realize that "He provides rain for the earth; he sends water on the countryside" because that is what's needed.
In our lives, it may not always be so obvious as to what we need AND God still sends it none the less. He showers us with what we need to drink, our faith allowing us to embrace it and weather the storms we may endure. Our role is to trust - and with faith, we can.
So the next time you face a challenge in your life, I DARE you to stop and think about the rain God is sending along with it. Have family or friends stepped in, did the perfect song come on the radio, or have you read the Bible and reali
zed that certain verses are speaking to you? God places these things there IF we remember to look for them so be ready! I also DARE you, the next time it rains, to go out there and dance and splash in the puddles as a reminder that the rain is truly a blessing - just as you are! As for me, heading off to find my rain
boots and have a a 'splashing' time with my kids!!
