One Verse

But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded. 2 Chronicles 15:7

Do you have a verse, one that speaks to you above all others? I know I do and yet I have to admit, God has given me a couple that have spoken to me at various important moments in my life.
One verse in particular came from the 'Never Quit' race in Jacksonville. I tell the story about this in my book (did I tell you I just released my book?!!!!) but the cliff notes are that after 2 mini attempts and 4 full attempts to get pregnant with IVF, it was my 5th try. Ironically, even though I'd been through the process many times, that particular morning I couldn't remember if I could put lotion on or not and so went through into the kitchen to re-read the info sheet. When I came back into the bathroom, there on the floor was a bookmark I'd been given from the race. What was incredible about this was the fact I had literally NO idea where the bookmark had been and yet God chose that morning to remind me not to quit.
Some call this coincidence and yet I like to think of it as a God wink, a moment in time when the Big Guy reaches out and lets us know He truly is there on this journey called life. There is literally no explanation of how that bookmark ended up in the middle of my bathroom and yet the message on it was clear - "be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded." I was never more at peace going into that IVF attempt and yes, the happy ending was the miracle we'd hoped for - my son!!
So today I challenge you to go look in your Bible and seek out a verse that speaks to you. It may tie in to something that you're struggling with or may perhaps be the reminder you need to tell you how awesome you are. I DARE you to ask God to reveal the verse you need to hear today and then trust that wherever your eyes fall, there is a message waiting there for you.
I will always have 'MY' verse, the one I wear on my wrist as my daily reminder, AND sometimes it's just neat to find out what God is trying to tell us at a moment in time! Go on, dig out that Bible and see where He takes you!
