No words

The past few days in our community have been emotional. The tragic news of Tristyn Bailey has sent shockwaves around the close-knit community and it is devastating to say the least. At a time like this, words seem to elude me and it rocks our understanding of the way the world works. God knows the bigger plan, but down here on earth it is unfathomable that there is a purpose to what has happened and we question it all.
Faith is tough. We want to hold onto it and know that all it takes is a tiny mustard seed. Yet, during times of tragedy, we scramble to clutch on to the remnants of faith that seem to get lost in the anger and lack of understanding that we face. We have so many questions, we struggle to understand, and we get angry that things like this happen.
I don't try to explain or understand it myself. I have no words. I just know that at times like this, we need each other to lean on, to comfort each other, and to support through the unknown. And so that's my DARE for today. Be there for your family, friends, neighbor and more because together, we can and will get through the uncertainty in our own time.
Rest In Peace, Tristyn.
