Let go and move forward!


Recently we were cleaning out some of our closets and going through clothes and things we no longer needed. It is not a task I enjoy, partly because I'd rather be doing anything else, but also because I have a hard time letting go of clothes or things that have memories attached. Crazy I know! Anyway, it needed doing and as we went through things, we gradually added to the pile of items we were willing to let go of, or things that simply needed to go in the trash. It wasn't easy but the reality was, in being willing to let go of some things, we created a lot of empty space that will allow for new things to replace it.


In life, how many times do you hold on to things that you really no longer need? Maybe it's a habit that is hard to break, maybe books or some cards that are just taking up space, or perhaps there's that pile of clothes you just can't let go of. Ask yourself, do you really need to hold on to them or can you make space for something new to come along?


And so today I DARE you to throw something out or let go of that 'thing' you've been holding onto. Say 'goodbye' and in your own way, allow yourself to move on to newer and better things. Besides, if you don't let go you'll never know what you're missing out on!
