It's a puzzle thing

The past few weeks, my students have been obsessed with the Rubik cube. Any chance they get, they're twisting and turning, trying to get sides to be all one color. I love watching them try to figure out and the excitement when they match one side, or even two.

Life is somewhat like a Rubik cube. It's filled with twists and turns, our role being to try and figure out how to align things so that we feel successful in what we do. Some days it might feel impossible, while others we easily get everything in order and we breeze through the day.

I wonder what it would be like if we approached our lives as a puzzle to be solved? Would we expect to master it at the first attempt or would we allow ourselves the opportunity to twist and turn, make changes, and even fail before ultimately feeling like we had it all together?.

And so, with that in mind, today I DARE you to go buy a cube of your own. Mix those colors up and remind yourself that sometimes, life gets messy but with patience, perseverance, and a little humor added in, you are able to get things lined up and in order.

As for me, yeah ....not so good at the old Rubik cube yet but willing to take on the challenge with you all!!
