I wanna hold your hand!!

Nevertheless, I am continually with you; you hold my right hand. Psalm 73:23

This morning I sat looking through some of my photos from the last few years. It's kinda fun to look back, reflecting on the memories that appear before my eyes and re-living some of those precious moments with my family. In particular, the thing that struck me was the loving bond between my two children and I came across multiple photos where they're holding hands, experiencing new things, scary things, and fun adventures together.

The gift of a relationship with God is that you always have someone right there, holding your hand. He walks with us into every aspect of our lives IF we remember to reach out and take His hand. Yet, even when we don't remember, He reminds us that "Nevertheless, I am continually with you; you hold my right hand". WOW!! Pretty cool, right?!!!

Currently, it's hard to imagine reaching out and holding the hand of a friend or a loved one and reminding them that you're there AND that does not mean it is impossible. Sometimes, the holding is more of a figurative thing and we're able to remind a loved one that we're there alongside them every step of the way through other means. Just think back to the last DARE and you'll find a few ways in there that you can put into practice if you haven't already!!

So today I challenge you to think about what you can do, knowing you have the Big Guy right beside you. And I DARE you to grab the hand of a loved one, (done in a social distancing kinda way if needed!), and remind them that you are with them through all of life's adventure in whatever way they need.

As for me, headed off to enjoy my children and collect more memories .... well, and maybe wash my hands to ensure they're clean after some hand-holding!
