Friendship

A sweet friendship refreshes the soul. Proverbs 27:9

ree

So I think one of the hardest things about this whole COVID experience is the loss of seeing friends in person. While we are entering a new phase and things gradually being re-opened, I am still cautious about venturing out much and remain a home body with my family. The reality is though, I miss that face to face contact and that human interaction that can't be replicated by the phone or a text.

God never meant for this journey to be done in isolation though and reminds us that " A sweet friendship refreshes the soul". He knows that connection with others is a vital part of our existence and without friends, we'd be lonely to say the least.

How about you - do you miss that human connection at the moment? Are you struggling with feeling isolated after adjusting to the whole social distancing thing? I miss my family and friends, my church family, and even just going to the store and saying hi to the familiar faces at the checkout.

So today I challenge you to find a way to connect - even though yes, it may not quite be the same as meeting in person. I DARE you to pick up the phone, send a text, or even send a card in the mail to remind someone that you're missing them. It's sure to bring a smile to their face and fill their day with sunshine!

I guess I'm off to make some cards of my own and will just continue to pray that life will allow me to connect in person sooner than later!
