Freedom!

Well, after watching the amazing process of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly, tonight we set our butterflies free. These fragile, yet incredible insects are such an example of how something so delicate can have such strength and beauty and as we watched them fly into the sky we couldn't help but marvel at their grace.

As I watched them go, I began to think about how, at times, we can feel like we're held captive - perhaps by our own thoughts or those placed their by the devil. Either way, we can feel trapped and like there is no way out from the negativity that fills our minds and we struggle to fly free in the way the beautiful butterflies did today.

God is there for us, however, and wants to set us free from all our pain and worry - our only task being to ask Him to release us from whatever it may be that weighs us down. I know, easier said than done AND possible too!!

So today I encourage you to look for butterflies and remember the power and might these delicate creatures have. If they can fly for thousands of miles, we surely can reach out to God and ask him to set us free from whatever is troubling us and I DARE you to do just that!! Write down on a piece of paper just one thing that is weighing you down - do it, right now! Then I DARE you to release that trouble and hand it over to the Big Guy Himself and set yourself free.

You've got this - I promise!! Don't let anyone or anything steal your freedom and hold you back because of fear. YOU, yes YOU deserve to fly high like those butterflies wherever your heart desires.
